Anubis was the God of mummification and the dead.
He is said to be a jackal. Egyptians believe that Anubis helped
to mummify one of the most famous Egyptian Gods Osiris
when he was murdered by his brother Set.

When a person mummified
someone they would wear an Anubis mask. Sometimes you may find
prayers to Anubis.

People believed that he looks
over the Egyptian process of mummification.
